Referral Flow

At Cora, I was also responsible for the Referral team that was forming (handling two teams at the same time). I had the opportunity to design an MVP of the referral flow on CoraWeb, the Desktop version of Cora, used by around ~20 thousand users.

Choosing the channel to make the referral

In addition to adding a referral access on the Desktop version of Cora, users could choose between three referral paths:

WhatsApp: 50% of referrals in the app were made through this channel, so we made this option the first one on the Desktop, where we created a deeplink that opened the Whatsapp Web.

Copy link: If the user wanted to share the referral on social media, they could simply copy the referral link.

Add an email: The third option was different. Instead of sending a link, the user could type in the email address of the person they wanted to refer, and we would send the invitation directly to their email address. This option was necessary due to a Cora partnership programa, where we identified that partners wanted to send invitations directly via email
